ABOUT
CROWN OF THE CONTINENT
Tucked away on the shoreline of Lake McDonald, deep inside the boundaries of Glacier National Park, Crown of the Continent offers more than just a stay—it offers an experience that connects you to the spirit of Montana.
Crown of the Continent is named after the region itself—Glacier National Park’s nickname, coined for its towering peaks, pristine waters, and critical role as a source for three continental watersheds. Our lakefront home honors this land’s breathtaking legacy and invites guests to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with nature.
Just down the road from our rental, there is a piece of Montana’s artistic soul: the historic cabin of Charles M. Russell, one of the West’s most celebrated cowboy artists. Known for his vivid depictions of Native American culture, cowboys, and wildlife, Charlie Russell found inspiration right here along Lake McDonald’s shores—capturing the magic of this place through paint, brush, and storytelling.
Our home(s) have been thoughtfully designed to bring together rustic charm and modern comfort. Whether you’re curling up beside the wood-burning stove, enjoying a glass of wine on the private dock, or watching alpenglow settle over the peaks, Crown of the Continent is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
